How to contribute / Help wanted

If you are on our website, chances are high that you also agree that it is important to preserve artifacts and know-how about our digital communications heritage. There are various ways how you can help us:

Donating equipment

We are more than happy to receive equipment donations! Of course the space in the homes of the members of our collective is limited, but so far we've managed to find a trusted home for all equipment we've received. If we are not interested in the specific item offered, we'll try to see if any of the other groups/initiatives/museums we know is willing to provide a new home for it.

We promise to document the donated equipment and publicly release all of our findings, including

  • high-resolution internal and external photographs

  • any data sheets of the major circuits used in the device

  • any documentation you include or we can find elsewhere

Donating documents, books or magazines

If you have any documentation on historical communications technology, we would be more than happy to receive your contribution. We have rather high-end scanners available and aim to digitize all contributions in order to preserve them for future generations.

Material we're interested in includes

  • books on digital communications technology

  • scientific magazines / journals on communications electronics

  • marketing material on digital communications technology

  • user manuals, service manuals, schematics or any other documentation on digital communications equipment, including but not limited to user equipment, transmission equipment, network equipment

Help us with your expertise

If you have existing knowldge / experience with any of the historical communications technologies and want to share it with us: We definitely want to hear from you. Please get in touch (see our contacts), irrespective whether you have first-hand knowledge from back in the day, or if you're also just somebody with a hobby interest in these topics.

No financial donations

We currently do not seek any financial contributions / donations, as we also lack a legal structure / entity that could hold such donations.
